We had a lot of fun. We went to the water meadows (as we call it) and had fun traipsing through the rushes; we visited Faeries Mirror, Buckleberry Fern, Dryad's Bubble....And then the lightbulb came on... Emily had a camera and we had ourselves! Bling! We had cinnamon rolls for breakfast so perhaps we were high on sugar? Naaaah. LOL.
As you can see from the pics following, we were in a goofy mood (or else we never would have let you see these).
Continue at your own risk!!
Aaaah! Tree Huggers! I think we've been in Oregon too long!
Very sneakily hiding from Meg behind a dock plant, you don't think she'll find me do you?
A lover gives his (?) first proposal, his fair lady is not impressed.
Oooooh, here's me being really weird. :D
The devoted lover tries again; this time offering a golden hued daffodil.
She'll accept the flower because it's pretty but still says no.
The rare and dangerous Caribou that you can only find in our neck of the woods. (it looks happy right now though).
Spying is dangerous business; leave it to us, we're experienced.
Once the spy stuff is done with, we are allowed to sit and have idle gossip. (er, did I just say that?)
Ah yes, the scornful lady throws her flower to the murky deeps of the fast flowing creek. Let's hope the poor lover never finds out.....
Yeah, we're weird. :D

Caity, you know you should really keep your..um...horns filed down. Hee, hee!

Hmmm, yeah I guess I do need some topside pruning...:D

WOOOOOOOOWWWWW......
dude, thats why I whack trees every day,
to keep me from being too attached to them... :P
the 98 acres looks cool, would ya'll consider renting it out to a certain WWII club? ;)
I would love to see it some time.
Sheeesh! I'm glad I'm not a tree on your property! Poor things. LOL!
Unfortunately the 98 acres don't belong to us, so renting is out of the question. I wonder what the owner would think if he found out we'd rented his land? LOL.
Remember, trees are nice, trees are pretty, trees are your friends... We do not use trees for sword-play. :P
I dunno Meg, the owner said we had permission to do ANYTHING on their property.
If you were really serious David, we could ask. :D
And instead of whacking trees daily, you should come over to our place and help chop wood.... I'm beginning to really dislike the log splitter... and the chainsaw...and the ax!

YEah!
may I ask who owns it?
it would be cool to be out there...
Nothing makes me happier than killing a tree.....
Uummmmm...Hmm, I would have to ask my dad for the owner's name. But she (the owner) is really nice. She had seven kids of her own so she understands a kid's need for exploring.
Can I ask a question now?
What exactly would you guys be doing out there? (just out of curiosity)
I'll ask my dad about the name later, and can probably give you more info tonight.

We would be reenacting WWII battles, to the best of our ability.
Possibly doing an airsoft battle.
but basically camping out, with a bunch of guys who look like WWII paratroopers.
Hey, good news for ya'. Mom and dad said that you and all your friends have permission to do whatever you want up there whenever you want!
Mom didn't think there was any reason to call the owner since we already have permission to camp, hunt, hike, bring friends.... etc. :D
Although you may want to check the land out before you bring your horde. There's a lot of blackberries but there are also paths going through.
~Caity
AWESOME!!!!! LIKE TOTALLY!
I'm not so sure about the term "horde" though....
Ok, so its fine that I bring out my PLATOON.
I'm always looking for new places to host a reenactment.
I'll have to check it out sometime before hand,
but blackberries don't stand a chance against us.
Its either a machete, or some high powered Napalm...
Hey, use dynamite if you have to, to get rid of those blackberries!
I'm just kidding; the owner might draw the line at dynamite. LOL.
~Caity
Finally, a natural alternative to getting rid of blackberries... just invite a bunch of guys over and tell them to have at it! LOL. :D

YEEEEEEHAAA!
we'll be happier than tornados in a trailer park! :p
yeah, I'll have to talk to ya'll about that.
Soon.
I'll see ya'll tonight!
