See that little tiny egg in the picture? That is the very first egg from one of our Cuckoo Maran hens!! Isn't it cute? Emily and I were closing the chickens up on Saturday night, when she found this itty bitty, teeny weeny egg, in a nestbox. :DMarans actually are supposed to lay dark chocolate brown eggs, but this one was only slightly darker than our normal brown eggs. Maybe they will darken as the hens get older? Below is a picture of the egg right next to my thumb. :)
I just thought that it was so cute that I had to share it with you.

I found a couple of eggs like that in my barn!!!! they are sooo litlle!!! one i found was as big as the nail on my thumb.... when we broke it open it had no yoke!!!!haha.. it was pretty cool!! :P well i thought i would share that with you !!!! Hope to see you soon!!!!
